The Castillo de San Filipe de Barajas is the greatest fortress ever built by the Spanish in their colonies.
The original fort was constructed in 1639 and 1657 on top of San Lararo Hill and expanded in 1762 to what you see today.
To this day, the fort has never been taken by an enemy.
